Trees and Land
I enjoy watching the slow interaction between trees and the way they settle in the landscape. Using ink and charcoal techniques, I explore the atmosphere of this environment in all its woody detail, linking tree to sky, creating a sense of slow history exploring that which is still untold.
“There’s something so haunting about these works, as if you've managed to capture a landscape caught in a moment of quiet tension. The atmosphere you create feels unsettling, like a fog that hangs in the air, still yet also turbulent. The space within these pieces is filled with a sense of both peace and unrest, a feeling that something is just beyond the surface—unseen but ever-present. This eerie duality, where calmness and chaos coexist, makes the landscapes feel alive in a way that is both intriguing and mysterious”.
